Above all, Gag Thy Tongue!

Image
Quit sharing ridiculous bad news and gossips, you're not a garbage truck. Everybody is fighting their unique battles and running their race. Before you stoop so low or subscribe to gossiping about another (especially their private lives), think again. It's every shade of wrong to make others a topic/subject of your discussion especially when you know nothing about their lives.  We live in a world digital world where people now comfortably predict the lives of others for a living, either from pictures, outdoor events, get-together, etc and can affirm their assertion is a 100% correct. Words hurt, words heal, the power to make or to maim is in the mouth. Watch what you say! Gossiping about others behind their back them makes you behind them. If you have nothing nice to say, then don't say anything at all. Most people spend too much time trying to figure out how others live, forgetting that their own lives needs to evaluated, reevaluated and put together to ai

DISCIPLINE

Image
Most people are in the habit of using their personality as a yardstick to accessing other people's personality. That is wrong in every ramification! That you're not disciplined enough to maintain a healthy conversation with the opposite sex "without catching feelings" doesn't mean others will subscribe to your composition. That you're not disciplined enough to look away from that beautiful nanny when you and wifey are having confrontations will warrant another hubby to look in the direction of his nanny. The above differences and much more which are too many to be outlined are termed "individual differences." In truth, positive traits don't come easy, they go hand in gloves with a lot of self discipline and strict adherence to the word of God. More so, individual weaknesses vary as well, just like individual strengths or capabilities vary.  That you have a lot of complex issues/insecurities going on doesn't mean the 'guy or babe

EXEMPTION

Image
What's your grace level like?  Is it pressed down, shaken together and spilling over like that of Joshua and Caleb?  Can it exempt you from tragic circumstances, misdemeanor or negative atmospheres? Everybody is exposed to grace but not everybody is disposed to grace, for grace-overflow is birthed by total surrender to the instruction, guidance and absolute trust in the lord. Grace breaks protocols on one's behalf. Anchor Scripture: {Numbers: 32:10-12} "And God angry - oh did he get angry! He swore : They'll never get to see it; none of those who came up out of Egypt who are twenty years and older will ever get to see the land I promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. They weren't interested in following me - their hearts weren't in it. None, except for Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, and Joshua son of Nun; they followed me - their hearts were in it." Joshua and Caleb oozed of grace. They were the only ones exempted from the agonizing orde

Don't Be In A Rush To Become A Teacher

Image
It'll interest you to know that teachers have the most noble profession on earth. If you're a teacher or a prospect teacher, bottles up! *e no easy. Teaching is a highly responsible work. It's exhausting, it entails a whole lot of discipline to prepare self. Teachers are blessed with the gift of impacting knowledge, guiding and molding their subjects in the right path. Anchor Scripture: {James 3:2} MSG Translation "Teachers are held to the strictest standards. And none of us is strictly qualified. We get it wrong nearly every time we open our mouths. If you could find someone whose speech was perfectly true, you'd have a perfect person, in perfect control of life." Why do teachers have the most sensitive job on earth?  It easy... They make use of their vocal abilities (speech), it's their tool for battle. A carelessly placed word out of their mouth can turn harmony into chaos, throw mud on a reputation, mislead or misdirect, it can mani

Sons Of Sarah!... Get In Here!

Image
Ladies, look away! I'm the only one permitted to view. lol Hubby, Future Hubbies, here's a quickie on Hubby roles thoughtfully penned down by St. Peter. You'll love. *smiles Sons of Sarah, Be good husbands to your wives. *Be thoroughly good with them. They're so frail even though their tongues are opposite. Their overreaction most times is geared towards the overall benefit, learn to perceive that from behind the scene, and you'll be glad you did. Honour them, delight in them. As women they lack some of your advantages. *It's obvious you're the lion and they're the lambs, respect their lamb-like features. They're aware your ego is on another level. Even when you want to show yourself, 'bros calm down' they're aware you're an overall softie. Show her off, the original plan and idea was/is to disburse 'pepper' into any 'pepperbody.' hahaha But in your new life of God's grace, you're equals. Treat

Daughters Of Sarah!...Get In Here!

Image
*Guys, look away... #Yimu. lol Wives, Future wives, here's a quickie on wifey roles thoughtfully penned down by St. Peter, You'll love. *smiles ={1 Peter 3:1-6}= Daughters of Sarah, Be good wives to your husbands, responsive to their needs. There are husbands who, indifferent as they are to any words about God, will be captivated by your life of holy beauty. *Being more spiritually grounded than him was the original plan and should be reinstated. What matters is not your outer appearance - the styling of your hair, the jewelry you wear, the cut of your clothes - but your inner disposition. *Be spontaneous. You can pull both (inward and outward) stunts off with ease. It's safer that way you know. lol Cultivate your inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that God delights in. The holy women of old were beautiful before God that way, and were good loyal wives to their husband. Sarah for instance taking care of Abraham, would address him as "my dear hus

Suffer In Silence!

Image
Who hurt you? Who made your insecurity level skyrocket? Who took advantage of your genuineness? Who told you that you'll never amount to nothing? Be content to let God set things right on your behalf! Are you suffering over an unjust cause? Suffer in silence. Jesus' life on earth and agonizing journey to the cross is a typical illustration of suffering in silence. Interestingly, Jesus prayed to The Father at every step or move He made all His life. He endured to the end and emerged victorious by conquering death. -Some examples of the prayer life of Jesus include the following; 1. After His baptism when He was about to commence ministry works. 2. Before choosing his disciples. 3. Before taking any decision. 4. On the mount of transfiguration with Peter, James and John. 5. At the garden of Gethsemane before he was tried to be crucified. 6. At the cross. etc Ever wondered why the disciples didn't ask to be taught the logic of signs and wonders but to be taugh

The Long Distance Runner!

Image
Some run short distances, others; moderate distances, but hey! Bottles up for the long distance runner! He is that runner who perseveres to the end even in the face of adversities. The long distance runner is one who becomes overwhelmed with the burdensome race filled with thorns and throes, and is tempted to opt out. But God steps in, opens his eyes with an amplified vision of the finish line and renews his strength to enable him continue with the final lap in the quest to actualize destiny. The long distance runner subscribes to routinary discipline/mortification, but overtime, is rewarded handsomely. Anchor Scripture: {Hebrew 12:12-13} "So don't sit around on your hands! No more dragging your feet! Clear the path for long distance runners so no one will trip and fall, so no one will step in a hole and sprain an ankle. Help each other out. And run for it!" The long distance runner needs human support as well. No man ever lived in isolation, else, his life be

DISTRACTION

Image
We all get distracted at some point in our lives. Our area of respective weakness(es) determines the gravity at which this stronghold termed "distraction" dominates our daily affairs. Those who know me personally can attest to the fact that I'm a great talker, but then, the only time I get talking are moments when I get to see them. Most of the time, I'm deeply engrossed with work, work, work. Therefore, the next time you see me running my mouth in public, please don't judge me, for those moments are my 'gateaway' moments. *reception of fresh air is allowed abeg. lol The act of distraction can be likened to the act of a little child whose been held behind closed doors all day long and finally obtains exit to go out to play with other friends in the block. Only a disciplined child would know when to wrap it up for the day. But an undisciplined child would even forget that he/she came from another home. No one can wholly escape distraction, whether

There is Space In The Manger!

Image
No space in the Inn? he he, look around, there is space in the manger! There is nothing wrong with starting small, but there is everything wrong with not starting at all. The comfort zone is "artificial." We live in a society where every one is "rich" and nobody wants to affiliate with the grass root. In all sincerity, looking good is good business, but never fake it (lie/pretend about it) while trying to make it. There is no sin in thriving. Never be ashamed to hustle. Whatever your hands get to do, do it! For He has promised to Bless the work of our hands. What are you passionate about? What gets your attention and interest @ a 100%? Start from your level, even at a level which may seem unfair to your status. It may include working as a freelancer or being underpaid in an undesired organization. Here's the heavenly promise: The Lord of the harvest will cause rain to water your field in due season. Remember Joseph was working in Jail (interpretin

The Natural Man

Image
Never do real stuffs with the natural man, you'll get burnt in the process. The natural man is said to be foolish, clueless, obstinate, proud, ignorant and most of all, possess the "I know it all" syndrome. The natural man is not open to change and learning new things. Even in his misfit, he believes help comes from within. Anchor Scripture: 1 Corinthians 2:14 "But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." For the natural man to transcend into the next phase,  his vision must first be corrected. Ever wondered why natural men never win (spiritual) battles? Interestingly, every "spiritual man" emanated from the "natural man," but the former, took intentional steps to exempt himself from "the natural man" status. Characteristics of the natural man: 1. He is in the habit of justifying his carnally mi

The Foreigner

Image
Ever wondered why a foreigner possess a new territory and move on to do greater exploits? You'll find out shortly... A Foreigner is a person from a foreign country. Foreigners who emerge successful do so, because, they have over time unraveled the secret, mastered the principles of survival and tend to back it up with humility, compassion and thanksgiving (whether manipulated or not). Citing examples of foreigners who did exploits include the "King Kong" Father Abraham, who left the land of Haran for Canaan where he acquired immense wealth and proceeded to settle in the Oaks of Mamre in Hebron. Samaritans are typical examples of foreigners. The Samaritans were a racial mixed society with Jewish and Pagan ancestry who faced agonizing stereotype. Some Samaritans who made a lasting impact include the following; 1. The one "Samaritan" leper out of the ten initial lepers who returned to show gratitude to Jesus. The other nine were Jews. Jews are best kno

Quit Studying!

Image
Well, don't stop when you are tired, stop when you're done! Different vocational ventures determine the number of  year(s) of study. First you learn, then, you earn. No one ever made it to the top without an in-depth study of the choice of trade selected. This vocational venture could be professional or nonprofessional. It is advised that immediately after study, it is important to head straight to the field (work). It took Daniel and his companion three years to be indoctrinated into the Babylonian language and the lore of magic and fortunetelling, irrespective of the fact that they possessed great/unique Leadership characteristics that distinguished them from their peers {Peep Daniel 1 for the full account}. Learning is sowing (investing) and Earning is reaping (profiting). Ecclesiastes Chapter 3 emphatically states that there is an opportune time to do things, and a right time for everything on the surface of the Earth. It includes a detailed list of the rig

RESPONSIBILITY

Image
While you remain committed to taking care of your preachers, ensure you take care of yourself  (and all that concerns you) too. Doing both is termed Responsibility. You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today - Abraham Lincoln *This is deep. #This is a sensitive topic, and I hope it's not taken out of context. Kindly peep the following: -- Be generous in all your Dealings; work, finance, kingdom investment, adherence to stipulated rules/commands, etc. "Generous gets it all in the end."  (Psalm 37:22 MSG Translation) --  Take care of your Preacher. "Give a bonus to leaders who do a good job, especially the ones who work hard at preaching and teaching. Scripture tells us, "Don't muzzle a working ox" A worker deserves his pay. (1 Timothy 5:17 MSG Translation). -- Care for Self and Family. "For if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse th

Queens Take Risks...

Image
cos overtime, she has mastered the art of risk-taking and has become enviably successful in the venture. Queens don't sit pretty all day and wait for waves to occur, they make moves to create one. Well, even when they decide to sit pretty with their heads and shoulders raised high, be rest assured that there's a plot yet untold which will work for the overall good of those who will come in contact. Are you an aspiring Queen or already a Queen in the making? Queen Esther is one mentor to look up to. She was beautiful; yet spontaneous; She was vulnerable; yet principled, She was dynasty-certified; yet subject-oriented, She was a womb(ed)-man; yet a woman,  She was good-natured; yet obliging, She had insecurities; yet magical,  She was powerful; yet sacrificial, She was meek; yet wisdom-filled, She was a carrier of Grace; yet a dispenser of Grace. She was divinely-orchestrated to be made Queen for the time of her dispensation. Anchor Scripture: Esther 4:15-16 "Est
